Bahrain Test Day 1: Early problems for Hamilton

The Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton suffered an early stoppage on the first morning of the two day Formula 1 test at Bahrain International Circuit. Highlighting the importance Mercedes, beaten to victory at the desert circuit in the Bahrain Grand Prix, are attaching to the test, both Hamilton, who rarely drives during in-season testing, and teammate Valtteri Bottas will be on duty this week. But the triple World Champion's stint in the cockpit hit an early glitch when his car required a tow back to the pits within the opening hour.
