Chinese GP set to expose McLaren-Honda weaknesses

McLaren is bracing itself for a tougher time at the Chinese Grand Prix, with Formula 1's longest straight set to expose the true power deficit that Honda has. Although Fernando Alonso was able to challenge for points in Australia, McLaren is under no illusions that things will be much harder in Shanghai this weekend. While the track's 1.17-km long straight is set to highlight Honda's lack of overall horsepower, sources have also suggested that Alonso and Stoffel Vandoorne could find themselves running out of energy deployment two-thirds of the way down it.
