Sebastian Vettel dominant in red-flagged final practice for Australian GP
Sebastian Vettel broke the Albert Park lap record on his way to topping the timing screens during final practice for the Australian Grand Prix for Ferrari, outpacing nearest challenger Valtteri Bottas by almost half a second. Vettel's 1:23.380, set on the ultrasoft tyre, put him 0.479s ahead of Mercedes' Bottas on the same tyre, with Lewis Hamilton just one hundredth adrift of his team-mate in third. Kimi Raikkonen finished fourth fastest, six-tenths back, but encountered a puncture during the session which forced him to back off on one lap, which caused his engine to shut-off, much to his surprise.
