F1 extends social media freedom into race weekends

Formula 1's experiment with the relaxation of social media rules for video content has been extended from testing to the race weekends, it has been revealed. In Barcelona testing, teams and drives were allowed to post content for the first time, an initiative that proved very popular with the public. Previously under Bernie Ecclestone's leadership, filming was not allowed at tests involving more than one team, with the sessions treated the same way as race weekends – and the rights claimed by Formula One Management.
