McLaren: Alonso's future down to strong car

– Eric Boullier has admitted that Fernando Alonso will "take his own decisions" if McLaren-Honda cannot overcome its troubles and produce a competitive package.McLaren-Honda endured another troubled pre-season period, Alonso declaring that the Japanese manufacturer's overhauled engine had "no reliability and no power".Amid several stoppages, McLaren completed only 424 laps in the eight days of running, significantly behind World Champion outfit Mercedes, which totalled 1096 laps.It also lacked pace, with its best lap time, recorded by Stoffel Vandoorne on Ultra Softs, putting it ninth fastest, 2.714s down on Ferrari's Kimi Räikkönen, ahead of only...
