Honda to part ways with consultant Simon
– Honda has confirmed that it will part ways with engine consultant Gilles Simon this year.Simon notably worked on Ferrari's engines during Michael Schumacher's dominant spell onboard and also held roles at the FIA and attempted engine company PURE, prior to joining Honda in 2013.Honda returned as McLaren's Formula 1 engine supplier in 2015, but struggled for reliability and performance, resulting in the team finishing only ninth and sixth in the standings over the past two years.Amid another tough start to pre-season testing, with Fernando Alonso and Stoffel Vandoorne severely hindered due to several technical issues, it has emerged that Simon is to leave Honda's set-up."It is...
