Hamilton: 'We're the team to beat'
Barcelona Testing – Lewis Hamilton heaped praise on the performance of the Mercedes W08, labelling the new car 'a beast'. Mercedes have elected to split the running of their drivers throughout the first test. Today, Valtteri Bottas drove the new car in the morning, with Hamilton taking the wheel in the afternoon. With Bottas showing front-running pace in the morning and Hamilton taking P1 in the afternoon, the Mercedes team got their championship defence off to a strong start, despite not yet having a ‘perfect balance'.
