Rosberg: I would have picked Alonso
Reigning Formula 1 World Champion Nico Rosberg would have chosen Fernando Alonso to be Lewis Hamilton's teammate in 2017, but at the same time understands why Mercedes chose the less volatile Valtteri Bottas to replace him. Since his shock retirement at the end of the 2016 season, Rosberg has make no secret that he is relishing being an ordinary race fan, watching grands prix from the comfort of his couch. And watching Alonso versus Hamilton would have been a treat.
