Kevin Magnussen: “Today’s result isn’t what we hoped for”

Kevin Magnussen was downbeat after finding himself eliminated at the first hurdle during qualifying for the Brazilian Grand Prix on Saturday, and will start Sunday’s race down in eighteenth position. The Dane, who will leave his Renault Sport Formula 1 Team to go to the Haas F1 Team in 2017, felt he lacked pace during qualifying despite feeling happy with his car earlier in the day during free practice at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace, and as a result missed out on following team-mate Jolyon Palmer through into the second segment of qualifying. Magnussen will now analyse what went wrong in order to correct it overnight so he can have a decent race, although he will have a lot of work...
