Renault impressed by Palmer's progression

– Renault has hailed Jolyon Palmer's progression over the course of his rookie season in Formula 1 after confirming that he will be remaining with the team through 2017.Palmer, who spent 2015 as Lotus' reserve driver, stepped up to a race seat with Renault this year, partnering Kevin Magnussen, a last-minute replacement for Pastor Maldonado.After a tough start to the campaign, which included 10 successive Q1 exits, he showed signs of improvement and recorded his first Formula 1 point at the Malaysian Grand Prix."We are delighted to retain Jolyon as our driver for the 2017 season," commented Jérôme Stoll, Chairman of Renault Sport Racing, after Palmer's contract extension...
