Jolyon Palmer retained by Renault for 2017

Renault Sport Formula 1 Team have confirmed that they will be retaining Jolyon Palmer for the 2017 Formula 1 season. It was rumoured earlier on Wednesday that the Briton would stay with Renault, with multiple sources suggesting that current team-mate Kevin Magnussen would be switching to Haas F1 Team. During the 2016 season, Palmer has only had one points finish, after he finished in tenth at the Malaysian Grand Prix. Renault are delighted to retain Palmer, who will be partnering Nico Hulkenberg, after he signed a contract with the Enstone-based team.
