Sauber bolsters team with technical director appointment
The vacant slot of technical director at Sauber will be filled in by Jorg Zander, who currently holds the same position at Audi Sport, the Swiss team announced on Monday. With the withdrawal of Audi from the World Endurance Championship, Zander's move comes as no surprise particularly since the 52-year-old German has worked with the Formula One squad before. With technical stints at BAR Honda, Williams, BMW Sauber, Honda and Brawn and armed with 25 years of experience in international motorsport, Zander is a welcome appointment for the struggling team.
