Sauber appoints Zander as technical chief
– Sauber has continued its recent recruitment drive by appointing Jörg Zander as its new Technical Director.Zander has acted as Audi's technical chief in the World Endurance Championship, but the manufacturer's exit from the category has promoted the German to return to Hinwil.Zander previously worked for Sauber under its BMW guise as Chief Designer in 2006/7, and has also worked in Formula 1 with BAR Honda, Williams and Honda/Brawn.Zander will take up the role, which has been vacant since Mark Smith departed prior to the 2016 campaign, at the beginning of next year."The new Formula 1 regulations offer a great opportunity to point the way with innovations and technical...
