Bottas and Stroll set to be announced after Mexico
United States Grand Prix – Williams are due to announce Valtteri Bottas and recently crowned European Formula 3 champion Lance Stroll as their drivers for 2017 shortly after the Mexican Grand Prix. After negotiations with Renault fell through, Bottas is expected to remain at the Williams team for a sixth consecutive season, having joined the Grove-based team in 2012 as a test driver, before being promoted to a race seat the following year. The Finn has enjoyed nine podiums during his Formula One career in 73 race starts. Seventeen-year-old Canadian Lance Stroll joined the team in November of last year as their development driver, and has dominated the 2016 FIA Euro F3 championship,...
