Mercedes revises engine parameters after Malaysia blow-up

Mercedes has decided to introduce revised running parameters for its engines at this weekend's Japanese Grand Prix as a result of Lewis Hamilton's failure in Malaysia. The German car manufacturer is still trying to get to the bottom of the blow up that cost Hamilton victory in Sepang. Early investigations have revealed that Hamilton's engine suffered a loss of oil pressure at the final corner before a big-end bearing failure on the main start-finish straight that resulted in the retirement. Hamilton's engine, one of the latest specifications, had completed just 618 kilometres before it failed.
