McLaren deny Apple investment reports
McLaren have moved to reject the reports that they are in discussions with tech giant Apple regarding a potential investment from the US firm. As reported by the Financial Times earlier today, Apple have approached McLaren Technology Group regarding a potential investment or a full takeover of the Woking-based company. As well as the Formula One team, MTG also consists of their ‘Automotive' and ‘Applied Technologies' arms. It is believed that discussions started several months ago and that Apple would use such investment to accelerate their own automotive ventures, such as self-driving electric vehicles.
