Williams to announce drivers 'soon' as Stroll ramps up test plans

Williams deputy team principal Claire Williams says the British squad will make a driver announcement "soon", but has stopped short of confirming Lance Stroll will race for the Grove team next season. Sources have suggested that the deal has already been agreed in principle, with an announcement likely to follow once he has secured the F3 title and guaranteed that he will be eligible for a Formula 1 superlicence after he turns 18 in October. "It's too early in the day to be talking about next year for us," Williams told Motorsport.com when asked if Stroll will race in 2017.
