Haryanto thanks fans after Manor exit
Rio Haryanto has paid tribute to his fans a day after it was confirmed that he will no longer race for Manor. The 23-year-old’s Formula 1 future has been in doubt for some time as the funding which secured him a race-seat only ran until last month’s Hungarian Grand Prix. While Haryanto and his management were hopeful of agreeing a deal which would see Indonesia’s first F1 driver race for the remainder of the season, on Wednesday Manor announced that he had been dropped to the role of reserve driver, with Esteban Ocon later confirmed as his replacement.
