Jenson Button explains eye issue that resulted in hospital check

German Grand Prix – McLaren's Jenson Button required medical intervention after FP2 due to getting something stuck in his eye. Button finished the day in P8, but was missing from track action towards the end of FP2. He climbed out of the car to visit the medical centre, before being brought to the hospital in nearby Mannheim due to an 'irritation' that he had picked up during the session. “I was driving down the pit straight when I got something in my eye. It wasn’t stuck in my eye, but it was a foreign body, which the hospital washed out and removed. It scratched my eye, so I’ve been given some eyedrops – but all is good.
