“Furious” Ricciardo thinks pole was possible

Hungarian Grand Prix – Daniel Ricciardo qualified third at the Hungaroring behind the two Mercedes but believes that pole position was on the cards. The Australian was just a tenth of a second off provisional pole at the end of the first runs in Q3, but came across yellow flags on his second run for Fernando Alonso who had had a spin at Turn 9, costing him a chance at taking pole. 'When I saw Fernando had spun in Turn 9, I was furious as I was up on my lap by quite a bit and when I heard Nico's pole time, then the time was definitely there.
