Palmer v Ocon: A Renault race?
Jolyon Palmer insists he is not worried about Esteban Ocon replacing him at Renault in 2017 - though the Frenchman gave another indication of his talents at in-season testing. Reigning GP3 champion Ocon is contracted to Mercedes in the long term and impressed on both days at Silverstone in the W07, but a race seat at the Silver Arrows appears unlikely. He is currently reserve driver at Renault, however, and is targeting a full-time F1 drive next year - leaving Palmer, on a one-year contract, under threat. But the Brit, whose best finish of 11th in his rookie F1 year came at the season-opening Australian GP, is refusing to pay attention to rumours that Ocon could be promoted....
