Hamilton: 'It wasn't the cleanest qualifying'
British Grand Prix – Lewis Hamilton was forced to replicate his pole position qualifying lap after having his time deleted. Competing on home soil, Lewis Hamilton looked set to secure his 55th career pole position in straightforward fashion. However, his initial time was deleted after he was adjudged to have exceeded track limits. Therefore, he had to register a similar lap time in order to prevent team-mate Nico Rosberg taking pole position for the British Grand Prix. Managing to stay within the track limits, Hamilton's lap time of 1:29.287 was enough to give a three-tenth advantage over his championship rival.
