Ericsson hospitalised after British GP FP3 crash Sauber F1 confirms that, Marcus Ericsson has been taken to hospital for ‘routine checks' following huge crash in British Grand Prix final practice. Sauber said via twitter “he is on the way to a hospital for routine check-ups”. Ericsson sent his Sauber crashing into the barriers after losing control on the astroturf at the exit of Stowe corner, bringing out the red flags. Ericsson was taken to hospital in Oxford by ambulance for ‘routine checks'. Heavily damaged car resulted a five gear-box penalty and also he’s highly unlikely to take part in qualifying.
