Niki Lauda denies Lewis Hamilton destroyed room after Baku qualifying

Mercedes have denied Lewis Hamilton 'damaged' his hotel room or his private driver room following the European Grand Prix, after comments made by Niki Lauda claimed otherwise. Lauda suggested in an interview with ServusTV that had Hamilton reacted angrily to crashing in qualifying and 'destroyed' his room as a result, whilst also claiming he lied about his 'better than ever' relationship with team-mate Nico Rosberg. In a statement issued by Mercedes on Wednesday on behalf of Lauda, it's claimed the comments were 'blown wildly out of proportion' and that it in fact never happened.
