Tyre choices for Austrian Grand Prix
The FIA communicated to Pirelli each team’s tyre choices for the forthcoming 2016 Austrian Grand Prix (Spielberg 1-3 July) With ultrasoft (purple), supersoft (red) and soft (yellow) tyre options available, most teams settled for seven sets of ultrasofts and the balance a mix of supersofts and softs. Of the top teams Ferrari and Mercedes have made the most aggressive choices with the Italian team reserving nine sets of ultras for their drivers, and the German outfit opting for eight apiece for their drivers.
