Pirelli formally agrees new F1 deal

Pirelli Media Pirelli has formally confirmed that it will remain as Formula 1's sole tyre supplier until at least the end of the 2019 season. Pirelli has been the sport's sole supplier since 2011 and last October provisionally agreed to remain in its current position for the next three years. The Italian manufacturer has now confirmed that it has come to an agreement with the FIA for the 2017-19 period. "This deal was completed over the winter, during which the FIA and Pirelli – in collaboration with the teams – agreed important changes to the technical regulations," read a statement issued by Pirelli.
