Ricciardo extends Red Bull contract
Aiming for a title run next season, Daniel Ricciardo has extended his contract with Red Bull until 2018. Despite having run-ins with the team in the past couple races for strategic errors that costed him valuable points and wins, the Aussie driver believes that the energy drink-owned team will seriously push for the F1 Championship next season. On the extension of his contract, Ricciardo was delighted on the long-term commitment and is looking forward to a promising future. “The contract was always long term and in a way it was always that length,' the 26-year-old revealed to Sky Sports News.
