Pirelli names Germany and Singapore compounds

 XPB Images Pirelli has announced its tyre compound choices for the German and Singapore grands prix later this year. The German Grand Prix is the final race ahead of the mid-season break, with the grand prix at Hockenheim returning after being absent from the calendar last season. With potentially high temperatures in late July, Pirelli has opted for the medium, soft and supersoft compounds, with one set of medium and one set of softs tyres required to be kept back for the race. While teams have to choose their tyre compounds for European races eight weeks in advance of the race, that deadline is 14 weeks for flyaways.
