Verstappen says new Renault engine a "positive" step

Max Verstappen has given the updated Renault engine the thumbs-up after testing it for the first time in Barcelona on Wednesday. The upgraded power unit - originally scheduled to be introduced in Canada - has already been hailed by Red Bull teammate Daniel Ricciardo and both Renault drivers Esteban Ocon and Kevin Magnussen. The Dane admitted he wanted the new engine to be introduced in the next race in Monaco if possible. Spanish GP winner Verstappen, who topped the times on the second and final day of testing, said the new engine was a "positive" step. "I think it is positive," said Verstappen.
