Kevin Magnussen: “It wasn’t a good day for me”

Kevin Magnussen bemoaned the pace of his Renault Sport F1 RS16 during the Spanish Grand Prix on Sunday, especially when it came to the two of the harder compounds Pirelli brought to the circuit. The Danish driver finished well outside the points in fourteenth position at the Circuit de Catalunya, just behind team-mate Jolyon Palmer and a lap down on race winner Max Verstappen, and was not able to emulate the race he had last time out at the Sochi Autodrom in Russia where he secured the team’s first points of the season with a seventh place finish. Magnussen is hopeful this week’s test benefits the team, insisting that the pace seen during the Spanish Grand Prix was not representative...
