Hamilton: 'I did what I could to avoid an incident'
Spanish Grand Prix – Lewis Hamilton says he tried his best to avoid making contact with teammate Rosberg in the accident that took both drivers out of the race. Hamilton had started the race from pole position, but ended up in the gravel at Turn 3 when he tried to make a move on Nico Rosberg. Ending up on the grass, Hamilton went sideways and hit the sister car, eliminating both. 'I got a good start but I was slipstreamed into Turn 1, through Turn 3 I was quicker than Nico.' he said. 'Nico happened to be in the wrong engine mode, I was gaining on him, I had decent pace, where he positioned the car there was a car width to the right of the racing line and I had to decide whether to...
