Vettel leads Ferrari 1-2 in first practice

Scuderia Ferrari Sebastian Vettel led a Ferrari 1-2 during the opening practice session for the Spanish Grand Prix at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Vettel and team-mate Kimi Räikkönen both utilised Pirelli’s Soft compound tyres to finish at the head of the pack, with the German quickest on a 1:23.951, 0.138s clear of Räikkönen. Vettel’s only drama came at the end of the session when he had to be wheeled back up the pit lane as the red light came on narrowly before he attempted to re-joined the circuit. Mercedes drivers Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton had initially traded times on the Medium compound before they were overhauled by their Ferrari rivals. Rosberg and Hamilton...
