Button admits race pace the key for McLaren

Jenson Button says McLaren-Honda needs to focus on improving its race performances if it wants to capitalise on its upturn in form this year, admitting it has been 'difficult' to maintain race pace. McLaren has scored just a single point over the opening three rounds – courtesy of Fernando Alonso stand-in Stoffel Vandoorne in Bahrain -, but the MP4-31 is considered to be a solid step forward over its much malignd predecessor regardless.
