Alonso provisionally cleared to race in China
Chinese Grand Prix – Fernando Alonso has been provisionally cleared to take part in the Chinese Grand Prix, following an FIA medical at the Shanghai International Circuit. The Spaniard however, will face further tests following Friday’s first practice session. Alonso suffered broken ribs and a partially collapsed lung after his crash at the season-opening Australian GP and was forced to miss out in Bahrain a fortnight ago, despite claiming that he was fit to race.
