Vandoorne 'feeling confident' ahead of first Grand Prix

Bahrain Grand Prix – GP2 Champion and F1 reserve Stoffel Vandoorne is eagerly anticipating his first race, and says he's hoping to challenge his World Champion teammate Button. “I think I can be pretty happy with today’s result.' said Vandoorne after qualifying in P12, ahead of Button. 'I didn’t really know what to expect, but from yesterday onwards I’ve felt quite confident in the car and today was all about fine-tuning it.' The GP2 Champion, who has had to shirk his scheduled Super Formula duties in order to stand in for the injured Fernando Alonso, starts his first Grand Prix on Sunday.
