Vandoorne thankful for Alonso guidance
– Formula 1 debutant Stoffel Vandoorne praised Fernando Alonso for his assistance as the Belgian prepares to take part in this weekend's Bahrain Grand Prix for McLaren.Alonso was ruled out of action due to rib fractures sustained in Australia and McLaren called up reigning GP2 champion Vandoorne to replace him for this weekend's event.Vandoorne finished the second practice session aboard the MP4-31 in 11th position, seven tenths behind team-mate Jenson Button."For me it is a great chance," he told assembled media."It's not ideal to get into a car without testing it, but so far, so good."Fernando helped me a lot today; he helped me to find a good set-up because he...
