Alonso to run new power unit in Bahrain

Bahrain Grand Prix – Fernando Alonso will run a new power unit in his McLaren at next weekend's Bahrain GP. Alonso was involved in a heavy crash at last weekend's Australian Grand Prix, which saw the Spaniard go through a terrifying sequence of rolls before coming to a stop upside down. The race required a red flag period due to the amount of debris on circuit and the requirement to remove his car and the other involved car, the Haas of Esteban Gutierrez. Alonso's MP4/31 was catastrophically damaged. The Honda power unit picked up some visible damage according to pictures of the aftermath, but Honda say it's too early to say whether the PU is salvageable. A spokesperson told...
