Jolyon Palmer has joked it was nice not to have to hand over a car before a second free practice session for the first time as he completed his first day of being a fully-fledged F1 race driver in Australia. The British rookie made frequent appearances on the timesheets for FP1 through his duties with Lotus, but his upgrade to race driver at Renault saw him take part in his first ever FP2 in Melbourne.
