Alonso lashes out at F1's direction: 'I'm sad'

Barcelona – Fernando Alonso says that he is disappointed with the direction Formula 1 is taking, and poked fun at what is important for a good race right now. Speaking to reporters at the end of his day's running on Thursday, Alonso was asked about his thoughts on the agreed-upon new qualifying system that may or may not be introduced this season, despite universal opposition from the drivers. 'It’s sad. I’m sad for the sport.' shrugged Alonso.
