Lewis Hamilton ready for first race
Defending Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton says he feels ready for the opening round of the season after completing a productive race simulation on the first day of the second F1 test at the Circuit de Catalunya. With Mercedes alternating between its drivers morning to afternoon to counteract the extraordinary mileage it is clocking up over the four hour sessions, Hamilton stepped into the W07 later in the day. With team-mate Nico Rosberg giving a glimpse of the W07's pace with his run on soft tyres in the morning, Hamilton will be made to wait for his run on the better rubber as he instead focused on long simulations.
