Pirelli confirm Ultra-Soft tyre for Montreal

Pirelli have revealed that the ultra-soft tyre compound will be used for round seven of the season, the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal. The rules regarding tyre usage have changed for the new season, with Pirelli now specifying a dedicated ‘Q3' qualifying tyre for each Grand Prix weekend, which can also be used during the race by all drivers who qualify outside the top ten. For the tracks with very low degradation, a new purple-walled ‘ultra soft' tyre will be used as the qualifying tyre.
