Vettel: First impression is good and a step forward
Sebastian Vettel at the wheel of the new Ferrari SF16-H topped the timing screens at the end of day one of the first Formula 1 preseason test at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and declared that the new car is a step forward for the Maranello outfit. Speaking at the end of the day, in which he racked up 69 laps, Vettel said, 'We had the first proper day of testing today, from which we got a first feeling from the car and the first impression is good, I think the new car is a step forward.' His best time of 1:24.939 was almost half a second up on the next best set by world champion Lewis Hamilton in the new Mercedes W07.
