Matsushita becomes McLaren test driver

– Honda-backed GP2 racer Nobuharu Matsushita has joined McLaren as a test and development driver.Matsushita, 22, stepped up to GP2 with ART in 2015, taking one victory and two further podiums en route to ninth in the standings, as team-mate Stoffel Vandoorne – also of McLaren – clinched the title.Matsushita will remain at ART in the Formula 1 feeder category for the 2016 season, and is now set to combine his racing duties with simulator and engineering work at McLaren."This season I am ecstatic to be joining the McLaren-Honda F1 team," said the Japanese.""To step into the world of Formula 1 fulfils a boyhood dream, and is a huge step forward in my...
