Infiniti announces 2016 Renault partnership

The Infiniti name will remain in Formula 1 in 2016 after announcing it had switched its allegiances from Red Bull Racing to Renault. After partnering Red Bull from 2011 until the end of 2015, Infiniti have now become a technical partner of the Renault Sport Formula 1 team, which is making its return as a full-time manufacturer entry this season after buying the Lotus F1 Team. Both R.S.16’s of drivers Jolyon Palmer and Kevin Magnussen will bare the Infiniti logo in 2016, with the company offering engineering resources towards the Renault Energy Recovery System, including two motor generator units, the MGU-H, MGU-K and a battery. “At Infiniti, motorsport is an important part of our...
