New Manor F1 car passes 2016 FIA crash tests
Manor confirmed on Twitter that their 2016 car has passed the mandatory FIA crash tests (file photo above) meaning that the team will be present at the first pre-season test in Barcelona. Hot on the heels of announcing that Nikolas Tombazis was appointed Chief Aerodynamicist for the team, the team announced: 'Our next instalment: today we completed our final crash test, so we now have a fully homologated chassis. Next stop: test 1 in Barcelona.' Manor did not attend last year's pre-season tests as they were on the brink of closure, but a financial package was put in place to save the backmarker team.
