Manor appoints Tombazis as chief aerodynamicist
The Manor Formula 1 team has appointed former Ferrari chief designer Nikolas Tombazis as its new chief aerodynamicist. Tombazis has been working in Formula 1 since 1992, having had stints at Benetton, McLaren and Ferrari. The 47-year-old Greek joined the Maranello squad in 2006 and was its chief designer until he left the team at the end of the 2014 season. Tombazis worked at Ferrari from 1997 to 2003, before leaving for McLaren for a two-year spell before returning to the Italian team.
