Red Bull won't miss opening 2016 test

Red Bull are confident they will be on the track at the opening pre-season test in 2016 even though they have yet to secure an engine for the campaign. The four-time World Champions have found themselves without a power unit for next season after deciding to drop current supplier Renault. While Mercedes have outright rejected a deal, Ferrari are only offering 2015 engines which Red Bull have stated they are not interested in. With McLaren blocking a possible partnership with Honda, reports claim Red Bull may yet run an independent engine based on the latest spec Renault unit.
