Susie Wolff Announces Retirement from motorsport

Having paved the way for modern women in F1, Williams test driver Susie Wolff announced her retirement through a moving column in the Huffington Post on Wednesday. When she took to the track in the Friday practice session at Silverstone in 2014, she was the first woman to drive on a F1 Grand Prix weekend for 22 years. She has said that she will retire from competitive motorsport after competing in the Race of Champions at the end of November. Susie wrote that it was a case of timing, ‘So much in life comes down to timing. Particularly in my world. For me, the time has come to hang up my helmet and call it a day.'
