US GP hit by more heavy rain

Qualifying for the United States GP is in doubt after the Circuit of the Americas was hit by heavy rain on Saturday - although Practice Three will go ahead. Organisers at the Circuit of the Americas in Texas reacted to the overnight deluge, which continued into Saturday morning, by delaying opening the circuit 'for the safety of our fans and employees'. Very limited running is expected to take place in Practice Three as heavy rain continues to fall but the session will go ahead as planned.  The regulations state that if qualifying does not take place, the finishing order in P3 could be used to determine the grid on race day.
