Diesel spill causes FP1 delay

A 'significant diesel spillage' on track just minutes before the start of first free practice for Russian Grand Prix has forced organisers to delay it by at least 30mins. A tanker preparing the Sochi Autodrom for track action sprung a leak around turns eight and nine, but after an initial attempt to coat it in fibre, it was decided a more substantial clean-up operation would be required. As such, marshals and firefighters are currently on course attempting to wash down the track, an operation that has led to FP1 track action being delayed by at least 30mins.
